Call to Worship
Pastor: We gather in this Lenten season to hear again a word from the Cross.
People: Lord Jesus, keep us near the cross, that we may listen.
Pastor: We gather in this season of Lent to prepare our hearts for Easter’s
grand celebration.
People: We will pray. We will listen. We will seek the will of God.
Pastor: We have heard the word of forgiveness, and the promise of
presence. We have heard a call to relationship. We have heard the cry of
abandonment, and today hear a call of human suffering – and the challenge for us to respond.
Come, let us worship the Lord.
