MISSION STATEMENT

Faith Preschool of Quakertown United Methodist Church is a Christian ministry to young children and families of the church and community. We believe that we are all children of God, and we are committed to nurturing each child's emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and physical development.

PROGRAM

Faith Preschool offers a high quality, affordable preschool education for children ages two, three, and four. Celebrating fifteen years of excellence in preschool programming, Faith Preschool's certified, experienced teachers address the cognitive, pre-academic, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical needs of young children. The program is inclusive and welcomes students from all backgrounds. The program runs from September through May.

SETTING

Faith Preschool utilizes modern classrooms, large recreation areas, and the well-equipped playground at Quakertown United Methodist Church's 20-acre pleasant setting in rural Milford Township.

PURPOSE

Faith Preschool is a Christian ministry of the church that provides a nurturing first-school experience which emphasizes learning activities that are developmentally appropriate, preparing students for a successful transition to kindergarten.

STAFF AND BOARD

Each class is taught by a teacher and assistant teacher, all experienced in early childhood education. The lead teacher is a certified professional. The Faith Preschool Board includes nine church members, several of whom are certified teachers with extensive experience in early childhood education. The board includes a parent representative.

Rachelle Sawadski is the Head Teacher for the Faith Preschool program and teaches the four-year-old classes. Mrs. Sawadski graduated from Millersville University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood. She taught kindergarten and 1st grade at Quakertown Christian School prior to coming to Faith Preschool.  We are very excited to have Mrs. Sawadski at Faith Preschool.

Megan McMichael is the teacher for the three-year-old class and the two-year-old classes.  Mrs. McMichael graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a B.A. in Psychology.  She has been a working as the Lunch Bunch Coordinator at Faith Preschool previously.  We are excited for her to start this expanded adventure at Faith Preschool.

Eileen Conlaw  Eileen Conlow is thrilled and thankful to be our new Two Year Old teacher. Eileen received a B.S. In Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from the College of NJ, and a MA in Education from Gratz College. Over the years she has worked as a classroom teacher, itinerant teacher, and a one-to-one for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, and The Clarke School for Hearing and Speech. She finds a special joy in encouraging language development through play, singing, and reading. Eileen lives in Kintnersville with her husband, Frank and dog, Ben. She treasures her weekly visits to her two grandkids in NJ and has a hard time passing by yard sales along the way!

Megan McGinty is the assistant in the three and four-year-old classrooms. Mrs. McGinty has a BA from Kutztown University. She has four children with her husband, Brian. All four of her children are Faith Preschool alum. She is an avid sports fan her favorite, besides her kids teams of course, is the Phillies. Megan was previously a Theatrical Costumer and still loves to sew and design

Jessica Albright wears two hats here at the preschool. She is our Office Manager as well as the assistant in the two's classroom. Mrs. Albright  obtained her B.B.A. from Temple University in 2000 and earned education credits from West Chester University. She worked at a preschool for two years and also brings with her seventeen years of experience raising her own children.
