Faith Preschool of Quakertown United Methodist Church is a Christian ministry to young children and families of the church and community. We believe that we are all children of God, and we are committed to nurturing each child's emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and physical development.
Faith Preschool offers a high quality, affordable preschool education for children ages two, three, and four. Celebrating fifteen years of excellence in preschool programming, Faith Preschool's certified, experienced teachers address the cognitive, pre-academic, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical needs of young children. The program is inclusive and welcomes students from all backgrounds. The program runs from September through May.
Faith Preschool utilizes modern classrooms, large recreation areas, and the well-equipped playground at Quakertown United Methodist Church's 20-acre pleasant setting in rural Milford Township.
Faith Preschool is a Christian ministry of the church that provides a nurturing first-school experience which emphasizes learning activities that are developmentally appropriate, preparing students for a successful transition to kindergarten.
STAFF AND BOARD
Each class is taught by a teacher and assistant teacher, all experienced in early childhood education. The lead teacher is a certified professional. The Faith Preschool Board includes nine church members, several of whom are certified teachers with extensive experience in early childhood education. The board includes a parent representative.
Shana Reinford is the Head Teacher for the Faith Preschool program and teaches the three-year-old and two-year-old classes. Mrs. Reinford graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a B.S. degree in Liberal Arts. She taught in the Quakertown Community School District for several years before coming to Faith Preschool. She is in her fifth year of teaching for Faith Preschool.
Maryellen Small is the teacher for the four-year-old class. Mrs. Small graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a Master's in Education. She has been a preschool teacher at Quakertown Christian Preschool and Upper Bucks Head Satart. We welcome her to Faith Preschool.
Karen Godown is the assistant teacher for the three- and four-year-old classes. Mrs. Godown has been a faithful assistant teacher for Faith Preschool for thirteen years, serving in many capacities throughout her tenure at Faith.
Melodie Schmouder is a teacher for the two-year-old class. Prior to assuming this position, Mrs. Schmouder co-founded and taught the Parent's Time Out program with Cynthia Jamison for fourteen years, as well as, held the registrar position.
Barbara Hafler is the Office Manager for Faith Preschool. In her fifth year of service to Faith Preschool, Mrs. Hafler maintains all financial accounts and tuition records.
